U2 drummer talks of retirement

U2 drummer Larry Mullen Jr. wants the group to retire while they are on top.

Larry believes their days are numbered and wants the band – which also consists of Bono, The Edge and Adam Clayton – to split while they are still successful. /how to play the guitar/

He said: 'There will be a time when it’s like, 'It’s time to go.’ I would like that to be on a high when you’re still achieving as opposed to the curve down. That’ll be sad for me. I think it’ll be a more dignified time to go.'

However, the 47-year-old musician says if the group decides to part ways, he wouldn’t rule out a reunion. /how to play the guitar/

He said: 'We might come back in five years’ time and may do something together for old times’ sake because we know we’ll want to. That’ll be a beautiful end to a long beautiful career. It can’t go on for ever. It just can’t.'

Despite considering retirement, the Irish rockers recently announced plans for a mammoth world tour.

They will visit 14 European cities on the first leg of their '360 Degrees' run of shows, beginning at Barcelona's Nou Camp stadium on June 30.

The concerts - which features four UK dates, including a show at London's Wembley stadium on August 14 - will feature an "innovative" 360 degree set design allowing all of the audience an unobstructed view of the band. /how to play the guitar/

Rod Stewart's son brands him 'cheap'

ROD STEWART's son has accused the rocker of being "cheap" live on television.

Sean Stewart, 28, appeared on American reality court show Judge Jeanine Pirro in a battle with his personal trainer over unpaid fees.

Stewart, who's made his name in the US after appearing on a string of reality shows, is accused of failing to pay personal trainer Francois Xavier Decile for his services, which amounted to (£3,500) in unpaid sessions.

But the recently rehabbed Stewart, who told Judge Pirro he's had a hard life being Rod's son, said his dad had paid off the first debt.

But he told a stunned courtroom that his father was "cheap" for making him pay back the money.

He said: "Actually, the money he gave, the cheque he sent to Xavier, I had to pay back.
"My dad's very cheap. I don't know why."

Decile claims he quit training Stewart last August after getting sick of hearing that the star's famous dad would cover the bills.

He told the judge, "He used to say, 'Don't worry, my dad will pay you.'"

Judge Pirro, who is a former district attorney and county court judge in New York, then ordered Stewart to pay the bills.

She then told that being the son of a rock star is "nothing compared to the struggles I hear all day in this courtroom".

How to clean your guitar! /how to play the guitar/

Absolutely necessary for you to know how to properly clean and care for your beautiful
instrument. Guitars are fine instruments and deserve the best care in the world, if you
want it to look good at all times and sound great as well. Cleaning your guitar is just
part of your life now that you have purchased one for yourself. It should be as important
to you as brushing your own teeth!

I always wiping the guitar down with something like a chamois cloth, after each playing
session, is all the maintenance my guitar will ever need. Lot of players have it
backwards...They use some type of fretboard and waxing lubricants, while abusing the wood
by not keeping the guitar in it’s case, where it should be whenever it’s not being played.
When I cange the string I like to clean my guitar. What is needed is that a damp rag. Put
some serious elbow grease into it though, wipe the guitar down thoroughly with a soft,
non-abrasive cloth but first put some elbow grease into it..and do this same for the
fretboard. You just have to diluted a little oil soap with water. That's amazing! Don’t
worry about the water becouse we talk about a damp rag, and also do not forget, not only do
you have to wipe down the guitar, it is also very important to remember to always clean
your guitar strings as well.

There is something you can purchase to help clean under your strings on on them, it is
called the swipe. By using the swipe on your guitar strings all around and under them, you
will be prolonging the life of your beautiful instrument and having clean guitar strings
will also make the tone of your guitar have a more crisp, tight sound.
You can remove the "grunge" off your fretboard by giving it a very light brushing with
#000, or #0000 steel wool. And if you want to use a polish, I recommend the best polish
what I ever use Martin Guitar Polish … but do not use on the fretboard! If you want
something for the fretboard, almond oi the best.. once per year.

Sound Relief raises more than $5 million for bushfire and flood victims

The Sound Relief concerts in Sydney and Melbourne have raised more than $5 million for the victims of the Victorian bushfires and the Queensland floods, organisers say.

A spokeswoman for promoter Michael Gudinski on Sunday said the 80,000 who braved the torrential rain to attend the show at the Melbourne Cricket Ground made history as being the single-biggest paying audience ever at an Australian concert event.
A
ll the money raised at the MCG will go to helping those who survived the devastating February 7 bushfires while the money raised at the Sydney Cricket Ground concert will be split 50-50 between the bushfire victims and those hit by the floods in Queensland.
pop princess Kylie Minogue, who flew in for the gig, wowed the crowd with an a cappella rendition of Peter Allen's unofficial anthem I Still Call Australia Home.

In Sydney, the day started with British group Coldplay opening the show with a set that included a guest appearance from John Farnham performing his hit You're The Voice.

In Melbourne, local rockers Jet opened the day before they flew to Sydney to play there along with Wolfmother, who also performed at both concerts.

Several classic Australian bands reformed especially for the occasion, including Icehouse, Hunters & Collectors, Split Enz and Midnight Oil complete with frontman federal Environment Minister Peter Garrett.

Know your guitar/How to play guitar/

When I was beginer I think there is magic way to learn to play guitar. But it's not true. First You haven't need ability...knowledge...you need just the emotion in your heart! This is the most important thing! And than you have to know your guitar...start by playing the easy chords then move on to the power chords or the sharp and minor chords.
Today I decide I will learn some ACDC songs in this week!

They're my favourite band!
